Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances, these may be as a result of events, patterns of abuse or a result of childhood trauma. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events and have the potential to inform how you see life.
Since we hold trauma and fear in our bodies as well as our minds, we use an approach that works with where you are experiencing traumatic feelings help you brain process the memories effectively.
To do this we use fast effective neuropsychological and somatic therapies such as Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Neurofeedback, and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT, also known as tapping). This allows us to address the source of the trauma not just the symptoms, so that you can divest yourself of the weight of the trauma burden that you have been holding. This then allows space for growth, peace and a new perspective. There is a strong evidence base for the effectiveness of these techniques, reducing your trauma symptomology within six sessions.
